GENERAL SUMMARY OF PURPOSE/ OBJECTIVE:

Responsible for assisting the Chief Financial Officer in all internal day-to-day accounting functions and the fiscal management of PSLA. Responsible for accounting information and related documentation from the accounting database into an electronic database on an as needed basis.

JOB FUNCTION/PRINCIPAL DUTIES* :

1. Assists in the daily accounting functions in Accounts Receivable, invoice imports, deposits, customer maintenance and cash application. Assists Chief Financial Officer in generating Month End Statement of Account for Licensees.

2. Assists in scanning checks for deposit via the internet to our Bank account and enters checks, deposits and adjustments to the check registers. As standard operating procedure in accounting on a daily basis, the balance on these registers must balance to the general ledger.

3. Upload licensee check images into EFS.

4. Assists Chief Financial Officer in opening and delivering the mail.

5. Assist in the accounting functions in Accounts Payable. Enter vouchers, vendor maintenance and checks in Solomon.

6. Enters on an as needed basis journal entries in the General Ledger.

7. Assists Licensees with procedural process questions, Statement of Account issues and licensee follow up on past due accounts. This also includes tracking and updating the Accounting mailbox.

8. Assists Chief Financial Officer with special tasks as needed.

9. Ability to function in Microsoft Office environment of Word, Excel, Outlook, Dynamics SL and Crystal Reports, which is integral in the daily operations of accounting.

10. Assists Data Services as needed including review of the EFS e1609-PR Workflow.

11. Keep SharePoint current with all inquiries.

12. Organize and file all appropriate paperwork.

13. Organize and prioritize workload to meet required deadlines.

14. Maintain a working knowledge of and comply with the organization's policies and procedures.



CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:


1. Minimum of 4+ years of bookkeeping experience

2. Possession of a High School Diploma or equivalent required

3. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Tools

4. Property/Casualty insurance experience preferred

5. Excellent verbal and written communications skills

6. High degree of self-motivation and accuracy in work product

7. Demonstrates customer service skills and demeanor (ability to patiently respond to customer questions with clear and concise answers)

8. Effective interpersonal skills required with the ability to interact with all levels of management, board members, staff, service providers and licensees

9. Ability to handle multiple assignments with commitment to deliverables, deadlines and quality results

10. Shows initiative, detail oriented, well organized, problem-solving abilities and have the ability to work independently
