Chemours is seeking an xEV Venture Leader to join our growing Advanced Performance Materials (APM) team. This position will report directly to the Advanced Performance Materials Business Unit Presidentat our Corporate Headquarters in Wilmington, DE.

The APM business is a vital part of solving the world's most challenging problems---creating a better, more capable future for all. As part of our strategy for Clean Energy and a more renewable future we are looking for an xEV Venture leader that can create global leadership position for Chemours through the growth of electric and hybrid vehicle solutions.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a major venture that requires innovative and inspirational leadership to build the strategic business plan, oversee its implementation, and leverage partnerships across the value chain. The ideal candidate exhibits strong leadership, collaboration and strategic thinking skills, has the ability to communicate effectively and represent the venture to the industry and investors, and shows a passion for innovation.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Ensure the creation and implementation of a strategy designed to grow the business.
  • Manage P&L for the Venture and the financial outcomes of the business.
  • Build market position by locating, developing, defining, and closing business relationships.
  • Screen potential business deals and closing. Examine risks and potentials for the business opportunities.
  • Develop negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies.
  • Develop business cases for key investments in equipment, infrastructure, and talent.
  • Engage with corporate officers in broader organizational strategic planning.
  • Enhance the organization's industry reputation.
  • Coordinate the development of key performance goals for functions and direct reports.
  • Ensure the development of tactical programs to pursue targeted goals and objectives.
  • Ensure the overall delivery and quality of the unit's offerings to customers. Oversee key hiring and talent development programs.


    The following is required for this role:
    • BA or BS degree and > 10 years commercial/business experience
    • Proven strategic and innovative leadership Skilled at making sound decisions in a complex and ambiguous business environment
    • Strong leadership skills with experience in developing a diverse, inclusive organization to drive the vision.
    • Exhibits high level of drive, integrity, and energy; eager to create the future
    • Ability to maintain relationships, effectively communicate and collaborate with senior leaders, customers and partners
    • Ability to motivate and engage employees through creating and articulating a compelling vision and strategy while emphasizing collaboration and inclusion.
    • Experience with identifying strategic partnerships M&A and alternative deal structure experience Strong financial and business acumen


      The following is preferred for this role:
      • Experience in alternative energy
      • Experience in automotive industry

        Pay Range (in local currency):
        $150,528.00 - $235,200.00

        Chemours Level:
        29

        Annual Bonus Target:
        18%

The incentive pay is dependent on business results and individual performance and subject to the terms and conditions of the specific plans.
