Job Description:

Title: Staff Accountant, NFP

Compensation: 60K to 80K + Bonus

Environment: Rockville, MD



JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reconcile bank statements monthly and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Manage accounts payable, including invoice uploads to Nexus and third-party utility coding.
File gross receipts, sales/use taxes, and Maryland tax reports.
Assist with ground rent processing, including requests, billings, and cash- Post journal entries for accruals, prepaid, and recurring transactions.
Reconcile general ledger accounts for accuracy and completeness receipts.
Support electronic deposits and maintain financial records in SharePoint.
Provide support during the annual audit.
Update third.
Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Manage accounts payable, including invoice-party portal with financials, AR reports, and rent rolls monthly.
Assist Property Managers with administrative tasks.
Offer additional accounting and lease administration support as needed.



QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in accounting
2 + years of experience in NFP or Public Accounting
