Office Coordinator - Wilmington Delaware

Successful candidates will be able to work in a fast-paced office and handle multiple task with extreme detail. The Office Coordinator reports to the Office Manager and is expected to provide superior service to both external and internal customers.

Candidates should be able to work independently and have excellent decision-making skills. This position requires a proficient level of business skills, a high level of compassion, excellent interpersonal and communication skills and time-management skills. Our ideal candidate will possess a positive attitude and spirit that is driven to assist in whatever way needed to serve our families and help the team excel.

Responsibilities and Duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Organize and manage details of funerals
  • Offer comfort to families and friends of the deceased
  • Attend to the administrative aspects pertaining to a person's death, including documents to receive a death certificate, resolve insurance claims and notify government agencies of the death
  • Provide information and resources, such as support groups to help grieving friends and families
  • Provide administrative support to the management team
  • Answer calls, make appointments, manage daily operating schedule
  • Send out emails & faxes
  • Sort incoming mail and send out mail
  • Resolve escalated issues as needed
  • Submit invoices/insurance assignments for processing
  • Handle receipts, office filing, and daily phone calls
  • Maintain compliance procedures and reports
  • Proof read documents
  • Complete any other task directed by the Office Manager or management teamQualifications and Skills for this position are:
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Photoshop, Publisher) and office equipment including copiers, printers, fax machines, credit card machine, & multi line telephone system
    • Bookkeeping, general office, clerical accounting, and Accounts Payable experience is a plus
    • Ability to work proactively and positively with staff and customers. Ability to deal well with the public. Must be able to stay positive around the grieving and mourning families. Join Us.
