A Medical Receptionist is responsible for efficient patient flow, superior customer service, attaining monthly goals/ performance indicators, data entry, schedule and treatment plan management, and patient retention.


  • Ensure compliance in all assigned centers that all patient charts are up to date, HIPAA compliant, proper input of demographics, procedures, payments into Database
  • Review scheduling and financial responsibilities and referrals with each patient throughout care.
  • Send precertification forms at the close of business daily to the Precertification Department to account for all patients that require authorization prior to services being rendered
  • Ensure centers are compliant with the collection and data input for one-month surveys
  • Ensure that the Surgical Assistant completes the inventory count daily and uploads it to the team site
  • Confirm that assigned centers perform/complete the Daily Close correctly at the close of business each night
  • Communicate with the Regional Director if there are any issues in the center; including maintenance, employee relations, patient/employee incidents, inventory issues, etc.
  • Notify the Regional Director if the center is running out of capacity or backlogs become necessary for any type of appointment
  • Ensure that the Clinic Checklist is completed
  • Review future schedules to confirm that all patients have been preauthorized for treatment
  • Must have a minimum of 1 years experience operating front desk in a medical setting and understand schedule management
  • This position will move to the Salisbury, MD and Rehoboth, DE locations once they open


    Minimum Requirements:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates Degree preferred
    • Minimum of 1 year in administrative experience, preferably in a medical office
    • Must have reliable transportation to clinics that may not be accessible to public transportation.
      • Ability to handle patient protected information with integrity
      • Excellent customer service skills
      • Consistently demonstrate uncompromising customer service
      • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data entry
      • Must be professional in appearance, tone, and delivery and an effective communicator
      • Dedicated to follow-through and results
      • Very detail-oriented
      • Flexibility as it relates to schedule, responsibilities, and priorities
      • The ability to interact with, support, and influence positively the behavior and activities of referring physicians, superiors, and staff/co-employees
      • Must be an exceptional listener
      • Strong organizational skills
      • The ability to work independently and as a member of a team
