Since class specifications are descriptive and not restrictive, incumbents can complete job duties of similar kind not specifically listed here. * Manages and maintains custody and accountability of all photographic equipment and property records, including filing, documenting and storing images as archives * Maintains digital and physical assets * Keeps all photos and related creative assets in one easy-access place * Organizes files in a way that works for the Public Affairs team and other stakeholders * Tracks usage rights, including license expirations dates and notifies the team about expiring image licenses, if applicable * Delivers files via FTP, password-protected links, or quick zip files * Serves as the official Department photographer at state government-sponsored events which includes studio location, portrait and action photography * Plans and executes photography shoots, including location scouting, shooting and editing * Coordinates and captures live photo opportunities, including conferences, press briefings, events and public meetings * Produces and maintains a portrait library ensuring all senior leaders have a recent headshot for publication and presentation purposes * Applies skill and expertise in photo composition, equipment selection, lighting, angles, props and backgrounds to create high-quality images * Produces high-quality images to complement marketing communications, to include, but not limited to: advertising, news releases, presentations, print brochures/flyers, digital marketing content, social media networks, web pages and the Outdoor Delaware online magazine * Edits images using Adobe Creative Suite. * Contributes to the development of creative content from ideation through postproduction, working closely with internal stakeholders * Works independently, as well as part of a team to establish and execute on project deliverables * Assists with photography competency across the Department * Other duties as required. Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas: * Experienced in professional photography. * Experience in professional photography with a DSLR camera and professional video/audio equipment. * Excellence in shot composition along with lighting, both studio and use of natural light. * Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite, including with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Acrobat. * Knowledge of various digital delivery methods for photography. * Knowledge of photography rights and permissions. * Knowledge of marketing, brand stewardship best practices * Possession of a valid Driver's License (not suspended, revoked or cancelled, or disqualified from driving). Additional Posting Information This position will have Statewide responsibilities which requires travel throughout the State. The State of Delaware provides transportation services to State agencies.
