The Opportunity
Ally announced the acquisition of Fair Square Financial, a digital-first credit card provider, in October of 2021 . Ally Credit Card is a team that has combined the experience of seasoned talent from across the card industry with advanced analytical and machine learning techniques to develop and optimize our business. Our integrated and entrepreneurial team built the business up from scratch in 2016 to 1MM plus customers, with significant growth opportunities in the future. This is your opportunity to join our diverse and innovative Ally Credit Card team as we focus on growing the business and delivering compelling products that focus on doing the right thing for our customers.
The Marketing Manager within the Ally Credit Card business will be a key player in the Acquisitions/Originations team. He/she will support key affiliate acquisitions channel end-to-end, bringing deep process excellence, project management, operational & executional talent, analytical & critical thinking abilities to this role. They will use several data sources to generate insights and uncover opportunities to fuel acquisitions growth and maximize value of the channel. Ally's acquisition strategy is diverse, complex, and cutting-edge; this role will be key to enabling the fast-paced acquisitions growth agenda. Candidates should be excited to incorporate data-driven insights, business intuition, and scenario analysis to identify the best course of action.
The Work Itself

  • Own the end-to-end execution of acquisition campaigns, including operational tracking and monitoring
  • Work with internal and external partners to plan campaigns' details and prepare data for execution
  • Track and evaluate campaign results, identify business opportunities, and make strategic recommendations for future optimization
  • Partner with platforms and IT teams to develop best in class infrastructure to support our acquisitions agenda and monitor operational health
  • Own existing partnership reporting, analysis and acquisitions/originations dashboard and create new reporting as necessary
  • Conduct strategic analyses of segments, products, pricing, and operations to understand customer experience, improve business strategy, and increase marketing efficiency
  • Frequently interface with external partners and influence them to support Ally Card's acquisitions/origination goals
    The Skills You Bring
    • 2-3 years of experience with business analysis, project management, general management.
    • Ability to work independently, adept at working with large teams of internal and external stakeholders across business groups, and comfortable interfacing with C/President level executives.
    • Solid understanding of the dynamics of different marketing channels, especially new and emerging digital channels.
    • Ability to influence external partners to fuel platform growth.
    • Comfortable leveraging data analysis tools and working hands-on with large analytical datasets to deliver insights.
    • Understanding of unsecured credit as well as extensive knowledge of financial analysis, effective risk management practices, and analytical methodologies is a plus.
    • Demonstrated ability to learn rapidly and solve problems dynamically.
    • Self-starter; comfortable with ambiguity and open-ended problems.
    • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
    • High degree of initiative with a strong drive for results.
    • BS or MS in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Science, MIS, or similar quantitative, analytical field.
    • Prior experience in credit card marketing and analysis preferred, but not required.
