Job Description:
Interstate Waste Services, a leader in non-hazardous waste
collection and disposal services in the Northeast U.S., seeks an
experienced Operations Site Manager to lead daily operations at one
of our key facility locations. This role is crucial for ensuring
operational efficiency, environmental compliance, and optimal staff
performance. The successful candidate will be responsible for
managing all site operations, implementing strategic initiatives,
and driving continuous improvement in alignment with our company's
commitment to sustainability and superior service delivery. Oversee
day-to-day operations of the waste management site, ensuring
compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Manage site personnel, providing leadership, training, and
development support to ensure a high-performing team. Monitor and
manage site budgets and financial performance, including cost
control and profitability. Enhance operational systems, processes,
and best practices to improve efficiency and service quality.
Prepare and present reports on site performance and progress on
strategic initiatives to senior management. Ensure site safety and
work towards minimizing environmental impact of operations. Liaise
with local government and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance
with state and federal guidelines. Respond to emergencies and
unforeseen site issues promptly and efficiently. Strong leadership
and people management skills Proficiency in operational and
financial management Solid understanding of the waste management
industry and regulatory environment Ability to develop and
implement strategic and operational plans Excellent problem-solving
and decision-making capabilities Effective communication and
negotiation skills Technical proficiency with industry-related
