An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher with experience across various education levels including Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle, and High School. This contract position is based in Washington, DC, serving students with special needs in an educational setting. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students' unique learning needs. Adapt curriculum and instructional methods to accommodate different abilities and learning styles. Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success. Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining accurate records and reporting as required. Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages growth and development. Qualifications: Valid teaching certification in Special Education. Experience teaching Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle, or High School students with special needs. Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to create engaging and accessible lesson plans.
