Job Description Job Description Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1 year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to support students in grades K-12 within a Maryland school district. This contract position, lasting for the current school year, offers the opportunity to work closely with children to improve their speech, language, and communication abilities, fostering academic success and social development. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments and evaluations for students Develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals tailored to student needs Deliver both direct speech therapy and consultative services within the school environment Collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary IEP teams to coordinate student support Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school and state requirements Qualifications: Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in Maryland Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) certification or eligibility to obtain certification Experience working in school or pediatric settings is preferred but not required Ability to work 35 hours per week with 7-hour workdays Location: Position based in Gaithersburg, Maryland, serving a K-12 school population This role is ideal for a dedicated SLP motivated to make a meaningful difference in students communication skills within a dynamic educational setting.
