Overview Job Skills / Requirements First Coast Security Solutions provides security services nationwide. We are seeking a Trainer for National Institutes of Health (NIH) located in Maryland. This position will provide initial and refresher training to ensure all required training requirements are met. Responsibilities: Develop and conduct required training programs for new hires and current employees. Monitor, evaluate, or record training activities for program effectiveness. Offer specific training programs to help workers maintain or improve job skills; develop alternative training methods if expected improvements are not seen. Organize and develop, or obtain, training procedure manuals and course materials such as handouts and visual materials. Present information using a variety of instructional techniques or formats such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, or lectures. Evaluate training materials prepared by instructors, such as outlines, text, or handouts. Conduct quality assurance inspections to include security screening operations at federal facilities. Provide instruction to new hires and current employees as required to maintain and improve marksmanship skills. Responsible for all aspects of quality control under the contract. Develop an inspection process based on the contract requirements while performing and documenting inspections, analyzing the resulting data, and submitting the data to the Director of Quality Control. Requirements: Must be a minimum of 21 years of age. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be a U.S. Citizen and read, write, and speak English. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must have a minimum of two (2) years of training and field supervision experience in civilian community law enforcement, military service law enforcement, or commercial/industrial security force service. Certified Firearms Instructor (NRA, POST, FLETC, DOD, or equivalent) Current certifications in First Aid, CPR/AED, Defensive Tactics, Handcuffing, Baton, OC Spray, and Firearms. Working Conditions Work is performed at federal facilities, training environments, firing ranges, and office settings Position requires standing, and walking, and for extended periods Must be able to lift and carry training equipment and materials up to 50 lbs. Regular use of firearms and screening equipment required.
