will be an integral position supporting our space program. We work
with NASA and other organizations to support life-critical
components for space. The incumbent in this role will be working
directly with our spacesuits and collaborating with team members to
ensure delivery of flawless products.Responsibilities:Develops
general understanding of softgoods materials and their testing and
manufacturing processes specifically for Space and Mask
applications. Applies skills to research, test and evaluate
materials for use in space flight programs.Develops general
understanding of product verification methods including product
testing such as inflation and leakage testing as well as materials
physical properties testingMaintains engineering and material
control documents to ensure compliance with Space Flight Hardware
requirement, including material drawings, Material Identification
and Usage Lists databases, Materials issue tracking reports and
other Program documentation related to material/product definition
and controlDevelops and utilizes technical writing skills,
specifically in the areas of material testing reports and
presentation of testing and analysis to the internal teamUtilizes
internal process documentation, acronyms, and general procedures,
including the ability to create or generate engineering change
documents, requisitioning for procurement, and drawing release
documentationDevelops and utilizes team skills and interpersonal
skills, including listening effectively, sharing information
amongst team members, communicating among a large and varied
production team, and coordinating activities based on project
schedule requirementsQualifications:Must be able to work on
Government programs (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident of the
U.S.)Associates degree in science field or working on Bachelor's of
Science degree in science related field is required. Knowledge in
Material Science or materials testing preferred2 years of relevant
experience preferredMust be proficient with Word Processing
software; Spreadsheet software; Presentation software and Internet
softwareAbility to write reports, business correspondence, and
procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and
respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers,
