IFF Wilmington DE (formerly DuPont Nutrition & Biosciences) is looking for a dedicated and passionate individual to join our Process Development team. In this role, you will be working in process development in our state-of-the-art R&D Laboratories and Pilot Plant Facility. You will be part of a team responsible for the fast-paced and hands-on development of biological production processes across all stages of process development: from discovery, scale-up to pilot production, and technology transfer to manufacturing plants. Responsibilities:

• Works in collaboration with others and independently to advance projects
• Conducts laboratory experiments independently and troubleshoots problems when they occur
• Analyzes data from a variety of laboratory techniques and instruments
• Documents experiments, makes technical presentations, and contributes to progress/technical reports
• Demonstrates understanding of basic scientific principles and skills in experimental techniques and shows initiative to learn and apply new technology or methods
• Effectively communicates research results and progress to the group and communicates technical ideas and concepts with project and functional teams regularly
• Maintains familiarity with current scientific literature in related discipline to stay current in new techniques that can be used internally to support project needs and knowledge-building within the functional group Job Requirements Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant Engineering or Biosciences disciplines with at least 2 - 5 years experience
  • OR Master's degree in relevant Engineering or Biosciences disciplines with 0 - 3 years experience
  • Experience conducting laboratory experiments at various scales from 0.1 - 10+ liter
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter with good organizational skills, attention to detail, and project leadership potential
  • Strong team player
  • Some travel may be required
  • Position is in-person in Wilmington, DE Preferred Experience:
    • Knowledgeable and experienced in biotechnology and industrial R&D environment
    • Experience applying design of experiments and statistical analyses
    • Mechanical aptitude, experience working with hand tools, manual dexterity, and precision in measuring/adjusting narrow operating parameters
