Job Summary:Reporting to the TIS VP Finance, this position will focus primarily on providing financial analytics to the Operations group and will also support strategic planning, analyzing and monitoring of plant spending budget vs. actuals, capital expenditures and plant activity for Terumo Medical Corporation (TMC). The Finance Manager will also be responsible for providing financial leadership and project support (e.g., Discounted Cashflow analysis (NPV, IRR) and project costs monitoring and post audit after project go-live) to the Manufacturing and Operations team. This position must be able to conduct financial analyses independently and accurately. The Finance Manager will liaise with the Elkton Plant Controller to ensure that all financial deliverables are accurate and timely. The Finance Manager will also be an active member of the TMC Elkton Finance team and will perform ad-hoc analysis as needed in a rapidly changing environment.Job Details:o Assist Manufacturing Engineers with the creation of financial modeling, discounted cashflow analysis (e.g. NPV, IRR) and Capex budgets.o Coordinate quarterly project review meetings with Elkton ELT (Executive Leadership Team) to show project status and financial impact. o Prepare product manufacturing cost analysis models and ability to identify and build the business case for cost reduction opportunities. o Prepare for all Operations project financial presentations for internal and external reviews. o Consolidate and analyze the TMC capital expenditures projections.o Assist with Capex project analysis and business case support.o Prepare various capital expenditure forecasts and keep track against the initial proposal. o Conduct any ad-hoc financial analyses per VP Operations and TIS VP Finance requests. o Maintain and improve financial communications with parent company (Terumo Corporation).o Fully adhere to all applicable Terumo's policies, however, be able to challenge Terumo's DCF methodology with best industry practices. Working Conditions: This position exists in an office environment, but requires flexibility to also work from home in current COVID restricted environment. No more than 10% overnight travel is required. Requires an ability to occasionally work extended hours during monthly, quarterly and annual closings, during planning season in fall, and as project financial analysis and presentation deliverables requires. Position Requirements:* As a Finance Manager you must be able to think and act independently and influence others outside of finance (operations management, engineers, supply chain) in order to drive compliance. While most business assumptions are provided by engineers, this position requires the capability to question and challenge business assumptions. This role also--requires a very strong degree of accuracy as the analyses are shared internally to TMC Executive Leadership, as well as to the TC investment committee and other TC business units' management for their approvals. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities* Strong financial modeling skills including discounted cashflow analysis and understanding of how WACC (Weighted Average Cost of Capital) are derived. * Proven ability to build and run complex, detailed and accurate discounted cashflow models.* Must possess the ability to be a lead financial advisor to the business.* Must feel comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.* Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication (oral and written) skills.* Possesses initiative, customer focus, and problem solving skills. * Ability to perform accurately under time constraints with strong attention to detail. * Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from TC, TMC and TAH Senior management. * Excellent understanding of Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel and PowerPoint. * Must be organized and detail oriented, while still able to help set strategic direction and see the "big picture".* Must be able to meet deadlines. * Excellent analytical, budgeting, and forecasting skills. Background Experiences* Requires a Bachelor's degree in a financial discipline and a minimum of 15 years of finance experience of increasing responsibility. MBA, MS in Finance, CPA, CFA, Six Sigma or any other designation is a plus but not required.* Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.* Prior experience with a manufacturing, medical device or pharmaceutical company is preferred. * Prior experience with SAP / Hyperion is preferred but at a minimum must have ERP systems experience (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, etc.).Terumo is an equal opportunity employer.
