Territory - Alexandria, VA, Baltimore, MD, & Philadelphia, PA and surrounding region. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Supervise Clean Energy technicians and/or supervisors throughout their assigned region. These technicians and supervisors are responsible for maintaining, repairing and making improvements to equipment located at CNG, LNG and LCNG fueling stations which operate 24-hours-a-day, 7-days-a-week. Provide mentoring, motivation and course correction activities to the service technicians and supervisors they manage. Including annual reviews and periodic formal or informal follow discussions, as needed. Ensure all work complies with both Clean Energy and OSHA safety requirements. Report any accidents or improper procedure / activity to management in a timely fashion. Collaborate with the Operations Center, specifically Maintenance Planners, to assign routes and preventive maintenance routines to technicians. Follow up daily ensuring completion of assigned tasks. Review completed service orders to ensure critical data is recorded, such as fluid levels, temperatures and pressures and review notes entered by technicians for completeness. Compare to trends and have the ability to recommend corrections as needed. Review and assist in all field activities as needed, provide guidance where needed to ensure proper station operation, timely repairs and accurate diagnosis of problems, including formal root cause analysis. Make routine in person inspections of fueling locations to ensure proper maintenance activities are completed and comply with CE standards. Provide feedback of findings to both technicians and supervisors to ensure they understand what was done properly and what did not meet expectations. Ensure that their team knows their sites very well, including the equipment on site, the type of site (customer or Clean Energy), the maintenance contract type and scope of service and primary contacts for each site. They are responsible to ensure all equipment is properly loaded into our field service software. Participate in quality assurance reviews of newly constructed stations by performing walk through and generating punch list items. Follow up to ensure punch list are completed in a timely manner. Maintain fueling sites compliance with CUPA's rules and regulations, manage and ensure proper ongoing Operations permits and licenses are renewed and secured. Other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities Directly supervise employees in Operations department. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, or related field, plus a minimum of 6 years of related experience and a minimum of 4 years of management experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Mathematical Skills Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer Skills Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Valid driver's license and clean driving record required. Physical Demands Physical demands are customary for this type of position. Always practice good judgment and refer to the safety guidelines. The employee is frequently required to walk and sit. The employee is regularly required to stand, climb and constantly drive. Regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally move up to 75 pounds. Lifting over 50 pounds may require mechanical and/or second technician assistance. Moving over 75 pounds will require mechanical means, or additional employee assistance.
