As the DePuy Synthes Social Media Community Manager, you will own and be responsible for crafting the strategy and developing integrated social media programs to support the business objectives for the DePuy Synthes corporate brand, including company LinkedIn and Twitter handles and launch of a new company Instagram handle, with a focus on critical audiences including orthopaedic surgeons, healthcare providers, patients, and current and potential employees. You will set the overall editorial strategy, creative approach, channel mix, paid strategy, and championing global alignment on approach. You will work in close collaboration with multiple stakeholders across functions and geographies, including top executives, marketing and external partners, to curate and develop channel specific content leveraging best practices. You will work also closely with the DePuy Synthes digital lead to align on corporate content for the DePuy Synthes website and support multi-channel integrations. This position will report to the DePuy Synthes Communications Director, will work closely with the entire communications team and will be highly visible. This role works closely with global teams across each orthopaedic platform, including communication and digital, as well as critical members of the Johnson & Johnson MedTech corporate communications social media team.

Responsibilities
Develop compelling, relevant and outstanding social media strategies that will elevate reputation and impact for DePuy Synthes and the specialties within our orthopaedic portfolio.
Lead all aspects of social media community engagement and craft paid approaches, in tandem with vendors to reach goals.
Coordinate social media budgets, manage agencies and freelancers, align with regional communicators and hold relationships with counterparts across Johnson & Johnson to share best practices.
Counsel and collaborate with partners across various functional teams to ensure a constant stream of fresh content on social media platforms and aligned with corporate websites.
Optimize current channels, working in partnership with agency and internal partners and consider new channels as appropriate.
Set and ensure governance, best practice sharing, and optimization of global corporate social media channels.
Develop and deliver metrics to measure success, impact and inform future strategy and optimizations.
Collaborate with enterprise, regional, and sector colleagues to drive broad awareness and impact of communications strategies.

Qualifications
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree is required
Minimum of six years of proven experience in communications is required
Experience in setting social media strategy on multiple platforms is required. Experience managing handles and launching campaigns on LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram preferred.
Experience in creating and curating content for social media and corporate websites is required
Experience leading paid social media campaigns is required.
Experience within a communications agency OR managing an agency partner is required
A mix of expertise with various interactive project types including responsive websites, social media, digital video, and content creation is required
Experience in highly regulated industry is required
Healthcare experience is strongly preferred
Experience with highly technical medical content is preferred
