Join the experience as we are seeking an Assistant General
Manager. The restaurant design have been melded with design
features and fixtures from local makers that reflect the building's
original era, features a dining room adorned with warm wood
accents, plush upholstered banquets, an illuminating ceiling
design, and features an open kitchen showcasing a wood-fired oven &
grill focusing on Italian-influenced, wood-fired cuisine that
emphasizes the smokiness and char of the wood burning oven & grill.
Serving a casual, yet sophisticated & seasonally driven menu, The
Quoin is helmed by esteemed chef Jim Burke.
The Assistant General Manager is responsible for managing the
beverage function of the restaurant; including all alcoholic and
non-alcoholic beverages The Assistant General Manager also supports
the General Manager in all operational aspects of the business.
Manage staff and daily operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-Manage, lead and mentor floor Managers and Staff
-Ensure service is maintained at the utmost of quality levels
-Develop risk management and mitigation strategies
-Represent the GM in investigating, answering, and settling
grievances in absence of General Manager
-Maintain all corporate mandates
-Update and track daily reports
-Analyze staffing requirements, develop iteration plans, and assess
opportunities for future growth
-Interview, screen, and recruit job applicants
-Coach and train management staff
-Responsible for Team performance - morale, productivity
-Monitor activities and expenses
-Assist in setting and monitoring sales forecasts and profitability
-Keep General Manger informed of sales and key issues
-Increasing sales through marketing, networking and incentives for
staff to raise guest check average.
-Assists in maintaining budgeted revenues, cost of sales (COS),
labor, supplies and operating cash flow (OCF). Reviews monthly
profit and loss statement and acts on all variances.
