For more information visit ILCDover.com and follow us on LinkedIn.Job Summary: The Property Management Specialist receives, records and stages Government inventory in preparation for shipment and/or delivery to internal customers. The Property Management Specialist has direct responsibility for executing receiving, stocking and shipping activities for such commodities as hardware items, electrical parts, electronic components, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, chemicals, and services. The incumbent requires a background in supply chain management, purchasing, and/or logistics in accordance with DCMA/DCAA regulations. Must have expertise in improving and executing property management processes for continental U.S. and international requirements. This includes experience in requirement forecasting, planning, purchasing, shipping and delivery, field distribution, and customer service. Essential Duties*: Responsible for managing inventory documentationManages the material receipt process and complies with all public law requirements as well as corporate policies and procedures, import/export regulations, and employs sound business practicesFollows Government regulated guidelines to process material receiptAccurately records the quality, quantity, type, style, and any other characteristics of the material receivedNegotiates and/or supervises the negotiation of complex requests for equipment, supplies, and services from suppliers and subcontractorsCoordinates with logistics department to ensure receipt of proper suppliesTakes corrective action with quality control personnel, customers, and vendors on defective or unacceptable goods or servicesReviews receipt, QC Inspection, and Issue documentation for completeness and correctnessApplies understanding of the property process, responsibilities and ethical standards necessary for U.S. Government, commercial and international material and services procurementsWorks with internal customers to ensure specifications and statements of work for materials and services are appropriate for the tasks or products requiredReports any suspicious shortages/activity to managementPrepare required monthly and annual government property reportsCoordinate and report annual physical inventories of government propertyTrack all government tooling/equipment in house and at suppliers' facilitiesPerform utilization reviews; request and obtain disposition on excess government propertyPerform annual internal audit activities of government property functionsPerform all contract close out activities relating to Government propertyPerform any other assignments or tasks as needed or requested by management to assist in accomplishing the organizations mission, objectives and goals Minimum Qualifications: Must be able to work on Government programs (US Citizenship or Permanent Resident of the U.S.)Bachelor's Degree and/or 5 years related Government contracting/property experience.Certified Professional Property Management Specialist (CPPS)Proficiency in Microsoft Office with an emphasis in ExcelOccasional travel outside the local area may be requiredPossession of a State Driver's License requiredBasic understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations, contract law, price and cost analysis techniques requiredDemonstrated written and verbal communication skills, well-developed interpersonal skills, and effective negotiation skillsSecurity Clearance/Clearance up to secret level may be required Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
