Job Description:
As our Public & Media Relations Senior Manager, you will develop
and implement a comprehensive, integrated external communications
strategy, focused on enhancing brand awareness and supporting the
image and reputation of the company through innovative, proactive
media outreach and thought leadership. Through demonstrated
expertise and leadership, you will build trust and strategic
influence with C-suite executives and members of the media alike,
while managing, inspiring, and developing the company's public
relations team.
- Develop and execute of comprehensive public and media relations
strategy that aligns with the company's strategic direction, to
elevate the company's reputation and position the company as a
market leader.
- Drive proactive thought leadership in earned and owned top-tier
media channels, with a focus to healthcare, financial, and retail
industries, to increase visibility and exposure and reinforce brand
narrative.
- Anticipate emerging themes for strategic outreach, planning,
and execution to shift perceptions of the Ricoh brand with a keen
eye to the future.
- Cultivate and manage strategic relationships with external
(media, influencers, customers, suppliers, etc.) and internal
stakeholders.
- Manage crisis communications for North American region and
collaborate with global counterparts to operationalize response
plans with urgency.
- Provide external communications counsel to senior
management.
- Represent the company to the press and public by as a primary
corporate spokesperson; field and direct responses to media-related
inquiries.
- Sustain and enhance the company's reputation by effectively
managing reputation risk issues to minimize its impact on business
success and build public trust.
- Identify, analyze, and appropriately respond to trends and
issues that present current or potential risks and opportunities
for the company.
- Lead speaker's bureau program, inclusive of executive and
subject matter expert opportunities, with focus to proactive
placement to help shape and reinforce brand perceptions.
- Collaborate with and advise business leaders and
cross-functional partners on creative, proactive media relations
campaigns and pitches in line with go-to-market strategies.
- Partner across Marketing and related business functions to
develop fresh messaging and maximize utilization of Public
Relations content and programs.
- Craft, review, and edit accurate and timely messages reflective
of the company's position.
- Lead, coach, motivate, and develop external communications team
to drive strategic value, productivity, and overall
effectiveness.
- Manage relationship with PR agency, providing clear strategic
direction and guidance for execution.QUALIFICATIONS (Education,
Experience, and Certifications)
- Bachelor's degree required (Journalism, Communications,
Marketing, or related preferred), Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 7+ years relevant work experience required, including
both agency and corporate environments.
- Experience leading a team as well as managing agency
partners.
- Proven track record of working collaboratively across matrixed
organizations.
- Strong relationships with mainstream as well as industry media
outlets.
- Strong copywriting and editing skills, with the ability to
articulate complex issues in a clear and concise manner.
- Demonstrated experience managing and executing across multiple
communication channels and media.
- Metrics-driven and results-oriented with demonstrated
analytical skills.
- Willing and able to adjust to changing demands and shifting
priorities.
- Skilled at developing strategic communications plans as well as
managing tactical execution.
- Strong relationships with advertising, business, and media
trade press with a proven ability to foster trusting press
relationships.
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in
writing.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and keen attention to
detail.
- Demonstrate organizational and time management skills.
- Multi-task in a fast-paced environment with a sense of
urgency.
- Proactive, highly motivated, forward-thinker.
- Demonstrate a high level of ethics and integrity in handling
all communications matters.
- Strong PC skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office and
Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams)
required.Position is remote for someone living preferably in the
Eastern US time zone. Occasional trips to our Exton, PA
headquarters and other travel is required.Visa Sponsorship is not
