Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY:Under general direction, this position is
responsible for carrying out and overseeing the day-to-day delivery
of Compensation and Stock programs and services aligned to their
specific functional area (e.g., driver comp, DCS/JBI/FMS comp, ICS
comp, E&T comp, executive comp, other). The incumbent
collaborates with HR Business Partners and HR Operations to respond
to business and/or employee needs. The incumbent will also be a
subject matter expert with the ability to make time-sensitive
decisions, manage multiple competing priorities, and teach or train
others. The position typically manages hourly and salaried
non-exempt individual contributors.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in the implementation and administration of existing,
new and revised compensation programs (e.g., base, incentive,
executive) to meet the J.B. Hunt's goals and competitive
practices
- Implement employee stock plan to compensate, retain, and
attract J.B. Hunt staff
- Provide consultation and analysis to advise senior management
on aligning the pay programs, policies and procedures (e.g., merit
increase approvals) with company goals
- Assist in providing information to senior management regarding
compensation policies and legal requirements for all geographic
locations, including making suggestions on relocation, pension, the
annual salary planning process and compensation interpretation
- Provide support in the collaboration with HR Centers of
Expertise and HR Operations to ensure that human resources core
services are delivered effectively and efficiently
- Facilitate the partnerships with other internal departments,
business units and senior management to ensure the effective
implementation of compensation policies
- Support the resolution of employee relations issues related to
compensation programs and policy and escalate to senior management
when necessary
- Ensure the quality, integrity and timeliness of the
compensation team's reports, management reviews, and other
analytical reports
- Monitor changes in federal, state and local compensation laws
and regulations to ensure organizational compliance
- Monitor, track and manage Driver compensation compliance issues
and advise senior management of significant reports
- Support vendor management activities, as needed
- Perform other duties as assignedMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business
Administration/Management, Economics, Education, Mathematics,
Social Science or a related field with 5 or more years combination
of Compensation Administration-related education, experience and
training; or 9 years of combined relevant experience, education or
training.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Business
Administration/Management, Economics, Education, Mathematics,
Social Science or a related field with 5-7 years combination of
Compensation Administration-related education, experience and
training at a large organization
- 6 months to 1 year of Management Experience
- Advanced skills in mathematics and statistics
- Data Analysis skills
- Experience in compensation administration
- Experience in compensation management
- Experience in Microsoft Programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws and
regulationsEDUCATION:
