The primary responsibilities of the Assistant Taproom Manager are to 1) support the Taproom Manager; 2) manage Taproom operations; 3) meet Taproom labor, cost of goods, and expense budgets; 4) maximize guest experience; 5) ensure guests are provided superior service and hospitality; and 6) be an ambassador for the Company and its products.


* Manage all aspects of Taproom operations, including managing Taproom team members, in tandem with the Taproom Manager
* Ensure all guests are consistently provided an exceptional experience by providing superior service and hospitality; Ensure guests are educated about beverage and food offerings and are provided recommendations and pairing suggestions
* Ensure all Taproom team members are executing service and required tasks in an exceptional, productive and efficient manner
* Maintain and enhance cleanliness, tidiness and overall appearance of the Taproom
* Maintain and enhance product standards, standard operating procedures, checklists, operational efficiencies, service model, and KPIs (e.g., sales, labor, costs, etc.)
* Maintain and enhance Point of Sale (POS) system; Ensure that all product names, descriptions and prices are accurate in POS system; Update POS system as needed
* Perform daily quality control/assurance checks of all Taproom products/beverages
* Perform weekly inventory and loss tracking for Taproom products and supplies, in tandem with the Taproom Manager; Maintain par counts on all applicable items
* Maintain daily communication with the Kitchen team; Identify, discuss and resolve any issues and opportunities for improvement
* Coordinate and execute private, special and team member events, in tandem with the Taproom Manager
* Design and make cocktails and shooters
* Be an ambassador for the Company and its products
* Continue to improve knowledge of craft beer, restaurant management, people management, leadership and hospitality through internal and industry training, and self-study
* Ensure the Taproom team strictly adheres with all applicable Company and Taproom policies, standard operating procedures, checklists, etc.
* Strictly adhere to and ensure all Taproom team members strictly adhere to responsible alcohol and food safety practices and applicable laws and regulations
* Maintain ServSafe Food Handlercertification or obtain within 90 days of employment
* Maintain Certified Beer Server(Cicerone Certification Program) certification or obtain within 30 days of employment
* Maintain Delaware Responsible Alcoholic Beverage Server Training Programcertification or obtain within 30 days of employment


* Two (2) years restaurant experience preferred
* One (1) year of restaurant management preferred
* Positive attitude and professional demeanor in all situations
* Good attitude and a strong work ethic
* Consistency and reliability
* Passionate about craft beer and the brewing industry
* Knowledge of restaurant and people management
* Knowledge of craft beer styles and beer serving best practices
* Strive for constant and never-ending improvement (individual, team & Company)
* Ability to work days, evenings, weekdays, weekends, and holidays
* Must be able to periodically lift 60 pounds (1/6 kegs) individually and 160 pounds (1/2) kegs with assistance
* Must be at least 21 years of age

Pay: $36,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
