Full-Time Summary Statement The Director of Business Services is
responsible for the organization, coordination and management of
all campus fiscal operations. The Director is additionally
responsible for the management of complex budgeting in support of
the College's mission of fostering the success of Delaware Tech
Students through access to financial resources. Nature and Scope As
a member of the campus leadership management team, the Business
Services Director reports to the Vice President and Campus Director
and, through the College's matrix governance structure, the Vice
President for Finance. Positions reporting to the Director may
include an Assistant Director of Business Services, Campus
Financial Aid Officers, Senior Fiscal Administrative Officers and
Administrative Assistants. This position is responsible for
directing the activities of the Business Services division, which
may include one or more of the following operations: business
office (accounts receivable and accounts payable); financial aid;
as well as fiscal oversight of the Educational Foundation accounts,
Child Development Centers, Delaware Manufacturing Association
Partnership, Workforce Development and Community Education, and
Cafeterias. Typical contacts include employees, vendors, officials
of other State and federal agencies, financial institutions,
auditors, the general public, and current and prospective students.
Principal Accountabilities 1. Oversees the management and
coordination of all fiscal reporting activities for the campus
including: monthly revenue/expense reports; reports to funding
agencies; development and monitoring of organizational and
contract/grant budgets.2. Collaborates with other Directors of
Business Services and the Vice President for Finance to promote
Collegewide consistency in policies and practices.3. Provides
accurate and timely accounting of the campus operating budget
allocations and ensures compliance with standard accounting
practices, and College and State policies and procedures.4.
Provides fiscal oversight; reviews and approves/disapproves all
fiscal transactions at the campus level.5. Strategizes, plans,
coordinates and prepares annual complex budgets for approval in
collaboration with campus administration and the Vice President for
Finance, including the campus operational budget, general fund
operating budget and the capital bond bill budget requests.6.
Prepares the Business Services portion of the Annual College Plan,
Achievement Report and oversees divisional assessments for the
campus.7. Participates in the development, revision/update and
communication of applicable internal policies and procedures under
the direction of the Vice President for Finance. Keeps abreast of
evolving rules, laws and regulations at the local, State and
federal level that relate to the daily operation of the campus.8.
Provides administrative oversight for financial reporting in
audits, GAAP and internal controls.9. May supervise one or more of
the following college operations: business office, cafeteria,
financial aid office, and/or copy center.10. Assists students in
obtaining their educational goals with honest, accurate, efficient,
and courteous service.11. Performs other related duties as

manner. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant
field and six (6) years of relevant experience. Master's degree is
preferred.
Relevant experience must include strategic leadership and
operational management (experience with/in higher educational
institutions or in a relevant industry is desirable but not
