Job Description:
The VP, Quantitative Analytics Manager - Partner Analytics is a
critical position responsible for supporting a cobrand credit card
portfolio team's strategic priorities and providing them with
analytical insights.
Job Responsibilities-
Perform deep dive analytics to understand impact of different
marketing tactics on performance & develop recommendations and
strategies to maximize business growth and financial
profitability
Interact regularly with the marketing team, both internal and
external, to understand goals, priorities & play the role of an
effective partner to devise strategies with customer focused
analysis to realize growth opportunities
Be an expert on all facets of the portfolio and utilize both credit
card and partner industry trends to identify areas to gain
competitive advantage
Leverage segmentation techniques to develop strategies that can be
leveraged across the portfolio to improve profitability/ROI.
Identifies opportunity for synergies between stakeholders, peers
and share insights
Self-directed Leader who doesn't just take orders, but partners
with others to gain consensus on a robust data and analytic road
map. Strong influencing and communication skills to executive
audiences.
Can actively manage multiple senior stakeholders with competing
agendas simultaneously. Impact-oriented - "owns" delivery of impact
for the business - not just delivery of insight - and actively
influences peers to achieve it
Builds a broad and deep network of peers within the business and
outside of analytics. Ability to communicate complicated ideas
simply - to a variety of audience types, including senior
leadership. Critical thinker who can evaluate and improve skill
level of a team.
Qualifications -
Bachelor's degree in a business, finance, economics, engineering,
mathematics, or related quantitative field
6+ years of related experience within marketing, finance or risk
analysis; experience evaluating complex business problems, data
analysis and devising recommendations
Experience in financial services, retail, digital or consulting.
Proficiency writing code to query data using SAS and/or SQL,
working knowledge of database environments to perform data analysis
in Oracle and/or Unix and/or Teradata environment
Skills in other languages such as R, Python and knowledge of tools
like Tableau, Alteryx will be a plus
Process- and controls-oriented leader, maintains a strong system of
internal governance and controls. Excellent ability to influence
and partner across a large organization and drive change
Strong presence and speaking skills, with the ability to influence
and motivate senior executives
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
Understanding of the key drivers within the credit card P&L is
preferred
