Chemours is seeking a(n) Corporate Development Sr. Manager to join our growing Corporate Development and M&A team! This position will report directly to the Mergers and Acquisition Director at our Wilmington, DE location.

You will be a vital member of the Corporate Development and M&A team where you will work on the execution of a variety of exciting projects, including acquisitions, joint ventures, and divestitures, in support of Chemours' strategic objectives. Your work will span all three of our business units (Advanced Performance Materials, Thermal and Specialized Solutions, Titanium Technologies), with a particular emphasis on helping to drive sustainable growth in key end markets such as advanced electronics and clean energy.

In this role, you will work closely with other members of the Corporate Development and business unit teams with direct responsibility for supporting transaction execution across the entire deal life cycle. You will partner with business leaders, cross-functional teams and external advisors in the execution of our global M&A projects. You will also create M&A project deliverables to inform and update business partners, senior management, and the board of directors. Furthermore, you will help organize and drive continuous improvement of the M&A work process, articulate the process to key partners and develop tools and capabilities to maintain an M&A execution process that is aligned with our core values which include Refreshing Simplicity, Collective Entrepreneurship, Unshakeable Integrity, Safety Obsession and Customer Centricity.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Plan and support global M&A execution activities from deal origination through due diligence and contract negotiation to integration planning
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and external advisors to complete efficient and effective due diligence of targets
  • Partner with the business teams to compile and present concise investment theses, summaries of due diligence and risk mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate with financial and accounting teams on valuation, working capital, and other transaction related financial matters
  • In conjunction with the legal team, assist in preparation and negotiation of term sheets, the purchase agreement, ancillary agreements, and schedules related to transaction documentation
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve tools and processes to maintain a robust M&A execution model
  • Develop high quality project deliverables including transaction summaries and approval documents for senior management and board of directors


    The following is required for this role:
    • Bachelors degree; MBA degree preferred
    • Demonstrated M&A track record with 3-7 years of direct, hands-on M&A transaction experience in either (a) investment banking, (b) a corporate setting, (c) private equity, or (d) financial / management consulting
    • Experience in or enthusiasm for industrial, chemical, energy, or manufacturing field
    • Proven financial acumen (e.g., valuation methodologies, financial metrics, ratios and calculations, financial statement review)
    • Self-starter attitude with developed project management skills (planning, organizing, and leading resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives)
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams
    • Travel required 10-20% of the time for business purposes
