Overview
Manager, PV Systems Design Engineering The Manager of PV Systems
Design Engineering is responsible for the direct supervision and
managerial and personal development of Designer and Drafter
Supervisors in addition to overall oversight of the Design Center
office and its connection to the rest of Sunrun. The Design
Engineering Manager will be responsible for delegating, developing
and standardizing the policies, procedures and documentation for
the Design Center team. The Manager, Design Center will work hand
in hand with other members of the Engineering Leadership Team and
Operations Management to ensure consistent, quality and on time
performance of the Design Center to its customers. The Design
Engineering Manager will oversee 3rd party subcontracted design
related services including but not limited to: Professional
Engineering (Structural and Electrical); and drafting and design
services. On a daily basis, the Manager, Design Center will be
responsible for working with a variety of internal customers
including Regional Engineering staff and management, commercial
drafting staff, Human Resources, IT, etc. This position requires an
ability to think critically, comfort with collaborating with unique
individuals, and a passion for delivering high quality results.
Responsibilities
Appropriately staff and manage a team of supervisors, SMEs and
experienced PV designers
Maintain metrics that track team and individual productivity and
quality performance
Work with shared services (IT, HR, Training, etc.) and operations
management to align and prioritize business needs
Lead business reviews, team training events, weekly team huddles,
etc
Drive standardization and process improvements
Ensure SLA performance requirements are met with all external and
internal parties
Create, maintain and improve tools used by design team
Drive company policy, procedure and performance
Manage the performance and goals of team members
Mentor and develop team members
Collaborate with software team to develop technology solutions for
the business
Delegate appropriately
Demonstrate ethics and professionalism at all times
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or Business related field
required
Minimum of 3 years of industry experience required
Minimum of 3 years of management experience required
Strong data analysis skills preferred
Ability to interpret construction documents required
Strong written and verbal communication
Good computer skills; MS Suite, Oracle, Salesforce, Google Suite
required
Professional appearance and client interaction
Good people skills, able to manage, motivate and discipline if
necessary
Motivated team player, looking to succeed
Innovative and proactive
Willing to travel if necessary
Clean driving record
Physical Demands
Ability to perform normal office duties
Ability to operate office equipment including computers and
determine accuracy of work
Ability to interact and participate in meetings

good faith estimate for this position only and is provided pursuant

the successful candidate will be located in markets within the
United States that warrant the compensation listed below. Similar
positions located outside of these locations will not necessarily

The hourly range for this opportunity is $87,800 - $117,000. Other
rewards may include annual bonus eligibility, which is based on
company and individual performance, short and long term incentives,
and program-specific awards. Sunrun provides a variety of benefits
