As Business Development Manager you will focus on growing business and improving Solenis' market position within North America for molded fiber, barriers and coatings. You will be responsible for leading the creation and implementation of sales initiatives aligned with the Corporate Accounts team growth strategy to expand our market share. This includes driving new product introductions as key component to new customer acquisition strategy, developing market intelligence and providing feedback to marketing and technology teams.You will also:

  • Develop and foster relationships with key executives and strategic customers.
  • Lead the 3 BDM team with project management starting out in the US and eventually expanding to a global project management role if necessary.
  • Gather all leads and help to prioritize and rank for the BDM team including this applicant.
  • Identify new customers and opportunities within region and grow business while reinforcing Solenis brand.
  • Develop business development strategies and creates annual business development plans for relevant area to reach required business objectives and revenue.
  • Work closely with account managers to understand business requirements and market needs.
  • Recognize new market segments and opportunities for business development, makes a calculation of returns and investment, and gains agreement for the investment, resources, and actions required for the developments.Due to the amount of travel for this position, you are required to be local to an airport.


    • Degree qualified with relevant experience
    • Experience of working in food packaging and coatings experience
    • 8+ years' sales experience
    • Very proficient in the use of PowerPoint, excel and word
    • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
    • Strong presentation skills
    • Experience of both new and existing relationship building Travel is required for this position, around 50% of the time. (US) The expected compensation range for this position is between $111,600 and $150,990, plus discretionary bonuses.
