future.Job SummaryReporting to the Director, Financial Planning &
Analysis, the manager will oversee and manage AIA revenue related
to membership, CES and AIAU dues, revenue recording, cash
reconciliation, month end close and system automation.Job
DutiesBanking and Payments
- Review, prepare and upload the daily ACH component distribution
file to bank for payment processing.
- Distribute physical checks, ACH, and wire payments from Bank to
the membership team and update membership Lockbox spreadsheet
daily.
- Regularly visit the AIA building to collect physical checks and
deposit them into the appropriate bank accounts for all AIA
entities.
- Record all banking activities for Salesforce & Advocacy bank
accounts and book month-end entries.
- Process refunds for customers and ensure that refunds are
tracked and recorded in accounting systems.
- Manage monthly bank reconciliations.
- Navigate and leverage technology to build reports and solve
problems, increase efficiency.
- Collaborate with technology team discover payment issues and
find solutions. Invoicing and Collections
- Generate invoices for sales, membership and other departments,
ensuring accuracy and proper distribution.
- Generate AR aging report and send to Sales team for
collections, maintaining up-to-date reports and tracking efforts to
resolve overdue accounts.
- Run weekly ArchiPac report and monitor donation through
membership dues and distribute funds to the appropriate bank
accounts (e.g., AchiPac, Advocacy).
- Manage Bank/vendor-related requests, including completing
vendor registrations, providing W-9 forms, and update banking
information in Salesforce. Month End Close and Compliance
- Ensure all accounts are reconciled between Sage, Bank and CRM
systems.
- Record journal entries, ensure all revenue, expenses,
liabilities and assets are booked correctly.
- Comparing the current year to date results with previous years,
budgets, or forecasts to identify trends or issues.
- Review refunds, stop payments and internal control policy
regularly and update if necessary.
- Assist with yearly Audit requests and provide accurate and

QualificationsStrong knowledge of accounting principles, revenue
recognition, GAAP. Proficiency with accounting software (experience
with Salesforce, Sage Intacct and Solver).Detail-oriented with the
ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.Ability to
prioritize and manage multiple tasks while ensuring accuracy and
meet deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication
skills.Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and
external vendors.Strong organizational and time-management
skills.Proficient with technology and learning new systems.Ability
to solve problems and think critically about process improvements.
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
preferred. Minimum 4-5 years of experience in an accounting and
finance analysis role, ideally with membership or nonprofit

Hybrid from the Washington DC area only
All AIA employees in the DC metro area are currently working
remotely during our office renovation. Employees in the DC Metro
area will return to a hybrid work environment in the newly
renovated office at the completion of the renovation in 2025. Equal
