Nursing Diploma (BSN)2 years experience within MedSurg
specialtyStrong communication and organizational skillsProficient
computer skillsCertifications And Licenses RequiredBLS and ACLS
certificationActive New Jersey Registered Nurse LicenseScheduling
RequirementsDay Shift, 36 hours per weekEssential FunctionsThe
Assistant Clinical Director provides nursing care in the acute care
setting within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice
Act and regulatory standardsAssists in directing and supervising
all functions and activities in a patient care settingPerforms
duties in any nursing capacity as neededAssures safety in practice
by maintaining a realization of own individual level of knowledge
and experience and assumes responsibility for advancing knowledge
of self and others of the patient care team by communication with
and utilizing resource persons and programs availableUtilizes the
nursing process in all aspects of the provision of care,
individualizing the plan of care to address a specific patients
needsResponsible for supervising and directing the delegation of
tasks to appropriate personnel and for consistently setting and
evaluatingExercises supervisory authority and independent judgment
in assigning employee laborIs responsible for knowledge of the
patient population served and assures awareness of ethical
standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethicsAssures
safety in practice and is inclusive of the principles of evidence
based practice by maintaining a realization of own individual level
of knowledge and experience and assumes responsibility for
advancing knowledge of self and others of the patient care team by
communication with and utilizing resource persons and programs
availableIs responsible for reporting identified safety issues such
as hazardous environments -i.e., damaged floors/walls/ceiling
tiles/unsecured areas- and medical errors, etc.Exercises
supervisory authority and independent judgment in directing
employee laborMakes recommendations regarding the ongoing
performance evaluation of supervised staff and resulting actions
