--CGRC's Family Based Services--has a paid internship Child Mental Health Worker position in Chester County. --This is an active nine (9) month position from September through May annually. ----The Child Mental Health Worker provides intensive, home and community-based family therapy to children and adolescents displaying social, emotional and/or behavioral disorders and their families with an emphasis on keeping the family unit intact, alleviating children's symptoms, advocating for parents, and interagency collaboration, and the application of structural/systemic model to child/adolescent behavioral problems and mental health disorders. As part of a therapeutic team, the MHP provides a continuum of services, including intensive case management, system advocacy, information/referral, therapy (individual to child or adult, family and couples), and crisis intervention/stabilization.If you're looking for the opportunity to share and expand your competencies using a variety of clinical based interventions, CGRC's Family Based Services program is for you.
