Job Title: Registered Nurse - 6 South StepdownWe are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at ChristianaCare, a leading healthcare organization with a commitment to excellence and patient-centered care.Job Summary:The Registered Nurse - 6 South Stepdown will work closely with the hospitalists, specialty consultants, and transitional nursing staff to provide high-quality patient care. This role requires strong critical thinking skills, excellent communication, and the ability to adapt to changing patient situations.Responsibilities:

• Assess patient physical and emotional status, past health history, health practices, and patient and family knowledge of disease and treatment.
• Manage a team of 3 to 4 medical or surgical patients per shift and work with the multidisciplinary team to achieve realistic healthcare goals.
• Plan nursing care to promote patient wellness and provide patients and families with information related to their disease process and patient education.
• Closely monitor patients, manage emergencies, and provide ongoing support and education to patients and families.Requirements:
  • BSN required; commitment to obtaining BSN within three years from date of hire can be considered with relevant experience.
  • Registered Nurse with 2 years of experience; telemetry experience a plus.
  • BLS required; ACLS preferred, with commitment to obtaining within 6 months of hire.
  • Progressive Care or Gerontology Certification preferred.What We Offer:
