Job Description:

The Hematology department at Bryn Mawr Medical Specialists Association is in need of a per-diem Nurse Practitioner to join their growing team. The Nurse Practitioner plays a critical role in providing high-quality care to patients, helping to improve their overall health and well-being. This position works closely with the team of healthcare professionals to diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions, as well as provide comprehensive patient education.Responsibilities:Analyzes and interprets patient histories, symptoms, physical findings, and diagnostic information to develop appropriate diagnosesDiagnoses or treats acute health care problems such as illnesses, infections, and injuriesRecommends diagnostic or therapeutic interventions with attention to safety, cost, invasiveness, simplicity, acceptability, adherence, and efficacyPrescribes medications based on efficacy, safety, and cost as legally authorizedEducates patients about self-management of acute and chronic illnesses, tailoring instructions to patients' individual circumstancesProvides care to patients in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of medical conditionsObtains patient history, conducts patient assessments, orders tests or scans, diagnoses illnesses, prescribes medicines and outlines and monitors courses of treatmentPartners with physicians in the development of care plans, and advises physician in changes of patient statusAssists patients in the management of chronic illnesses and promotes health and wellnessAdjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient careMonitors and ensures accuracy of patient medical recordsMonitors the effectiveness of prescribed treatments.Conducts complete physicals and counsel patients on health needs and improvementsExperience, Qualifications, and Education:Must perform work with a high degree of latitudeMust possess expert knowledge of subject matterRequires an advanced degree in nursing (MSN or DNP), RN and NP licensureAbility to work as part of a teamOral and written communication skillsProblem-solving skillsAttentivenessInterpersonal skillsby Jobble
