The unit is a regional referral center for both mothers and babies. The staff cares for neonates as young as 24 weeks gestation up through full term infants with complex congenital anomalies. The full range of services for neonates is provided including neonatal care immediately after birth, newborn therapeutic hypothermia, and high frequency oscillatory ventilation. The unit is also a part of the Maryland Regional Neonatal Transport Team providing efficient ground and air transportation services for this young population.With passionate and driven leaders' support, our nurses are able to dedicate themselves to patient safety, clinical excellence, and life-long learning.
