Must have 2 years L&D experience and an active MD or Compact RN license. /n/nJob Details/n /n - Location: Olney, MD 20832 (Montgomery County) — Maryland nursing jobs/n - Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,830 - $1,930 per week/n - Assignment Length: 13 weeks | Travel nursing assignment/n - Start Date: April 6, 2026/n - End Date: July 6, 2026/n - Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts (07:00 - 19:30)/n - Hours per Week: 36/n - On-Call: 8 hours per 6-week scheduling period/n - Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and every other holiday required/n - Patient Population: Neonates, Adolescents, Adults — perinatal & obstetric care/n - Unit: 10-bed L&D unit, daily census 1-5/n /n/nQualifications / Job Requirements/n /n - Minimum 2 years recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (L&D, perinatal, obstetric nurse)/n - Previous travel nursing experience required/n - Active RN license (Maryland RN or Compact RN) required/n - BLS, NRP, and C-EFM (NCC) certifications required at time of submittal/n - Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)/n - Ability to work every other weekend and holiday; on-call availability as scheduled/n - Two (2) supervisor references required/n /n/nResponsibilities/n /n - Provide comprehensive labor, delivery, and postpartum nursing care for low- and high-risk patients/n - Assist with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and recovery; circulate for C-sections and assist with forceps/vacuum extractions/n - Triage obstetrical patients, perform assessments, and recognize/treat abnormal fetal heart rate patterns using C-EFM/n - Administer blood products, start and maintain IVs, titrate and manage infusion pumps/n - Perform sterile speculum exams, vaginal exams, and amnioinfusions as needed/n - Provide postpartum newborn assessments and basic neonatal support within unit scope; collaborate with NICU/respiratory as needed/n - Provide postpartum care including fundus/lochia/perineum assessment and wound care/n - Maintain accurate, timely documentation and follow Baby Friendly protocols and hospital policies/n - Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including OB/GYN, anesthesia, IV team, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, physical therapy, and social services/n /n/n Why join this travel nursing job in Olney, MD?
