Join MedStar Georgetown University Hospital as a PRN
Occupational Therapist within the Adult Inpatient Service. Provide
crucial therapy services primarily in an inpatient environment,
offering personalized rehabilitation plans for a diverse patient
population. In this role, you will work collaboratively with a
dedicated interdisciplinary team aimed at optimal patient outcomes.
As part of MedStar Health, you will be supported by a robust
healthcare network dedicated to innovation and excellence in
patient care. Evaluate patients’ conditions and develop treatment
plans. Implement therapeutic interventions to address
patient-specific issues. Document patient progress and adjust
treatments as needed. Communicate with healthcare team members to
provide a coordinated approach to patient care. Educate patients
and families about treatment strategies and home exercises.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient
care. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to professional
standards. Strong evaluation and therapeutic intervention skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work
independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of patient
management software. Adaptability to varied patient conditions and
environments. Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the
state of employment. NBCOT certification. CPR and BLS
certified.
