Shahinian & Giantomasi PC ("CSG Law") is seeking a human resources
coordinator for our New Jersey office. The Human Resources
Coordinator is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a
professional level and works closely with senior HR management in
supporting multiple office locations and remote workers. The
position requires use of technical skills, people skills and
familiarity with life in the HR department. This position carries
out responsibilities in the following functional areas: database
administration, troubleshooting and testing, liaising with
recruiting, onboarding, offboarding, continuing legal education,
professional development, employee relations, performance
management, learning, policy implementation and employment law
compliance.The Firm is not accepting recruiter submissions for this
role.Essential functions:
- Updates and maintains information in various databases and
software applications including HRIS (Dayforce), emergency
notification, survey, budgeting/profitability. Updates and
maintains various master spreadsheets.
- Liaises with third party HRIS consultant to update
configuration of HRIS system (Dayforce). Participates in beta
groups for new releases to software and performs end to end testing
in our testing environment (sandbox).
- Conducts research and troubleshooting to resolve system issues
as they arise.
- Performs customer service functions by answering employee
requests and questions and other functions related to employee
relations.
- Assists with recruitment process, including job requisitions
postings. Adds, tracks and updates status of candidates in HRIS.
Sends notifications.
- Performs tasks related to onboarding including background
investigations, professional certifications, development of
orientation schedule, notification. Communicates directly with
onboarding candidates and business units/practice groups.
- Assists with offboarding.
- Performs tasks related to orientation. Updates and maintains
Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9
records.
- Assists with the performance review process including meetings,
documentation and filing of memos.
- Creates and maintains employee files (physical and
electronic).
- Prepares employee change notifications. Assists with or
prepares correspondence, as requested.
- Updates and maintains labor law postings.
- Processes mail. Makes photocopies, mails, scans and emails
documents, and performs other clerical functions.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.Physical demands:
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some travel and lifting
are required. This would require the ability to lift files, open
filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. The individual must
occasionally lift office products and supplies weighing up to 20
pounds.Required education and experience:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a professional services
organization is preferred
- Experience with Dayforce or similar robust HRIS system is
required
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and
Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Working understanding of human resource principles, practices
and procedures
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet
deadlines
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and, at times,
stressful environmentPosition type and expected hours of work: This
is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00
p.m. with some overtime required. The Firm offers hybrid work
schedule; however, the demands of the position require on-site 4-5
days per week.Salary range:The expected salary range for this
position is $55,000 to $80,000. The actual base salary offered may
depend upon a variety of factors, including (without limitation)
the applicant's qualifications, relevant experience, and other
certifications or professional licenses held.The anticipated salary
range listed is just one component of CSG Law's total compensation
and benefits package which includes (but is not limited to)
discretionary bonuses; life, health, accident, and disability
