What You'll Do
Build cloud service on top of the modern Infrastructure as Service
(IaaS) building blocks at OHDAP
Design and build distributed, scalable, fault tolerant software
systems.
Participate in the entire software lifecycle - development,
testing, CI and production operations
Balance between product feature development and production
operational concerns like writing run books, ops automation,
structured logging, instrumentation for metrics and events
Leverage plethora of internal tooling at OCI to develop, build,
deploy and troubleshoot software
Participate in on-call for the service with the team
Resolve issues when they arise
Qualifications
You have prior experience working on distributed systems
You are proficient in one or more of Java, C#, C/C++ and/or
Python
You are experienced at building highly available services,
possessing knowledge of common service-oriented design patterns and
service-to-service communication protocols
You are familiar with components of modern infrastructure like
service discovery, secret storage, software-defined networking,
etc.
You have experience with production operations and good practices
for putting quality code in production and troubleshoot issues when
they arise
Preferably, production experience with Cloud and ML
technologies
Take initiative and be responsible for delivering complex software
by working effectively with the team and other stakeholders
You feel at home communicating technical ideas verbally and in
writing (technical proposals, design specs, architecture diagrams
and presentations)
Data science and machine learning knowledge would be helpful, but
not required
Preferably, production experience with Cloud and ML
technologies

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific
to the stated location(s)
California Pay Range: from $117,500 to $270,000 per annum. May be
eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Colorado Pay Range: from $112,600 to $243,000 per annum. May be
eligible for bonus and equity.
New York City Pay Range: from $127,400 to $256,500 per annum. May
be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Washington Pay Range: from $124,500 to $256,500 per annum. May be
eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to
account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience and market
conditions, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products,
industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the
preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
