Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our dynamic IT team supporting public sector customers. This role involves managing and optimizing the IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless desktop operations, and providing advanced technical support. Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our IT team. This position will be full-time , on-site , and is a contract position. What You’ll Do Plan, design, deploy, and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage systems Ensure high availability, compliance and performance of critical systems Manage and support Extreme & Cisco networking solutions to ensure resilient connectivity Remediate current vulnerabilities and ensure asset compliance across a variety of assets Develop, configure, and maintain desktop environments, while ensuring compliance Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, ensuring optimal performance Provide advanced technical support to internal and business teams. Resolve complex technical issues and offer guidance on best practices Create and maintain detailed documentation for systems architecture, configurations, and processes Thoroughly and accurately document the details of a stakeholder’s request or issue, document the diagnostic steps performed when troubleshooting the issue and assist the stakeholder with resolution using existing procedures and documentation Monitor work queue, open, update and close ITSM incidents on a timely basis ensuring a high level of service is provided by team What You’ll Need Required: 7–10 years of experience with Palo Alto routing and security, including certifications 7 years of Route/Switch experience Hands-on experience with Extreme & Cisco networking Familiar with AWS and native services such as: GuardDuty, AWS WAF, AWS Shield, CloudTrail Proficiency in managing both Windows and Linux servers and workstations Extensive experience remediating Windows and Linux operating systems Extensive experience leveraging Intune, Tenable and Defender Proficient in Windows OS, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) Familiarity with network protocols and services (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP) Ability to understand complex disparate systems quickly Experience with local domain and mixed level environments Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong attention to detail Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment A bachelor's or associate degree in a technical field combined with several years of relevant experience Physical Demands Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc. Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor Reasonable accommodation statement If you require a reasonable accommodation in completing this application, interviewing, completing any pre-employment testing, or otherwise participating in the employment selection process, please direct your inquiries to application.accommodations@cai.io or (888) 824 – 8111. $70p/h - $75p/h The pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education.
