Job Description Job Description Patent Agent Patent Agent Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Patent Agent to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for guiding clients through the patent application process and providing expert advice on patent strategy, ensuring the protection of their intellectual property. This role requires a strong understanding of patent law and technical expertise in various fields. Key Responsibilities Prepare and prosecute patent applications before the USPTO and foreign patent offices Conduct legal research and analysis related to patent law Represent clients in patent litigation and disputes Draft and review patent applications, claims, and responses to office actions Advise clients on patent strategy and intellectual property management Perform patent analysis and provide guidance on patentability and infringement issues Collaborate with inventors and engineers to understand new technologies and innovations Prepare technical documentation and reports for patent submissions Assist in licensing negotiations and regulatory compliance matters Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in technology and patent law Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred Registered Patent Agent with the USPTO Strong understanding of patent law and intellectual property rights Experience with patent prosecution and legal research Familiarity with technical writing and patent analysis Excellent communication and client representation skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects Proficiency in technical areas such as wireless communication, semiconductors, and cloud computing Experience with foreign patent prosecution and ex parte matters is a plus Benefits Competitive compensation with performance bonuses, firm-contributed retirement plans, premium health and parental leave coverage, and dedicated support for professional development and the path to partnership. - For this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
