Job Description Job Type Full-time Description Position Summary:
The Assembler I performs bench or line assembly operations to
produce components, sub-assemblies, and assemblies using various
hand tools and semi-automation equipment. Looks for guidance from
lead personnel to have materials, equipment, and jobs setup and
rely on lead personnel for direction. Essential Duties and
Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be
assigned. /n - Performs duties by verbal or written instructions.
/n - Crimps, screws, welds, solders, cements, press fits, or
performs similar operations to fasten parts together. /n -
Assembles or attaches various hardware such as caps, clamps, tape,
lugs, connectors, etc. to assemblies. /n - Tends to machines that
shape, press, insert, wind, or weld component parts. /n - Sorts,
packs, and records production information. /n - Maintains
acceptable levels of production according to established standards.
/n - Assists other associates when needed. /n - Maintains dialog
with lead personnel on status of work and raw material to ensure
efficiency. /n - Practices good safety and housekeeping procedures
and adheres to all established policies and procedures. /n /n
Requirements Experience/Skills Required: /n - Good communication
skills and ability to understand verbal and written instructions.
/n - Ability to stand, walk, kneel, and work over equipment for
long periods of time. /n - Ability to work with and handle very
small parts (.003 diameter). /n - Ability to work with hand tools
and possibly run a semi-automated machine. /n - Ability to learn
and understand dimensions on drawings. /n - Ability to lift up to
20 lbs. /n - Ability to determine / recognize color coding. /n -
Basic math and measuring skills. /n - Must be a good team player
and have the ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds. /n
/n Minimum Educational Requirements - HS Diploma (or equivalent)
