Under the supervision of the Logistics/Operations Manager
maintains the physical facility of the LIFE Program. Performs
assigned tasks to maintain the LIFE facilities in a sanitary,
orderly and attractive condition following all State, Federal and
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintains the facility grounds to ensure a safe and attractive
As assigned, maintains the interior of the LIFE facility to
ensure a safe environment, following all State, Federal and Local
requirements. This includes routine weekly, monthly, quarterly
inspections of all interior and external facility related systems
and fixtures, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, doors locks, flooring,
ceilings, fire code safety inspections. Also includes maintaining
security (burglar and camera) system, and electronic access door
Reports any mechanical failures or negative conditions to the
Logistics/Operations Manager. As directed, repairs any equipment or
destruction to the facility within scope of knowledge. Secure and
coordinate all hired contractors, and inspectors as
Monitors all facility related expendable supplies, notifies the
Logistics/Operations Manager when supplies are low, places monthly
orders, stores and distributes as needed. Includes receiving and
distributing loading dock deliveries.
Preventive maintenance service of Ice machine, dish washer,
refrigerator, freezer, washing machines, dryers, water filtration
systems and all other equipment that has a preventive maintenance
Provides feedback on daily performance of janitorial contractor
and recommends addition spot/project cleaning as needed.
Provides touch up painting as directed by the manager to ensure
an attractive environment.
As requested by the Rehabilitation Department; installs adaptive
equipment in the homes of LIFE participants and repairs participant
ambulatory equipment as needed.
Stores maintenance equipment and supplies in a neat and orderly
fashion. Ensures storage area is locked and secured after use of
Demonstrates dependability, initiative, cooperation and
diplomacy at the LIFE organization and other work environments.

Qualifications and Requirements:
Education: Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Experience in a health care environment preferred.
Must have at least one year experience working with the
Skills and Knowledge:
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of basic health and nutrition.
Ability to follow directions/detail oriented.
Demonstrate organizational skills and meeting time
- Ability to work cooperatively with co-workers.
