Job Description:

The Spark'd Pastry + Coffee Shop Barista ensures an engaging, up beat and on brand experience for each customer from the set-up of the pastry cases and merchandise, to the cleanliness and maintenance of the equipment, to the service delivered. Ensures service standards are met and surpassed by providing customers with prompt, quality coffee and pastry selection, purchase and preparation.

Welcomes and connects with every customer to provide excellent customer service.

Discover customer needs and appropriately suggests product with every customer to enhance service and meet sales goals.

Assists customers in the selection and purchase of specialty coffee beverages, whole bean sales and baked goods.

Prepares beverages and warms food as per the recipes to meet each customer order and deliver a consistent experience

Responds to customers needs and says thank you to every customer.

Maintains customer service area and equipment in a clean and appealing manner

Demonstrates " just say yes" behavior when taking care of customer needs

Prepares a variety of customer beverage orders such as espresso drinks and coffee beverages to recipe standards.

Follows all standard operating procedures

Completes opening and closing daily checklists

Completes cleaning and sanitation checklists daily to ensure a clean and food safe environment

Presents oneself professionally ad demonstrates clear communication by using start skills with all customers and partner interactions

Follows brand standards for merchandising, stoking, rotating, ad storing all products.

Performance equipment maintenance in accordance with preventive maintenance checklist.

Follows cash handling and register policies.

Follows inventory stocking and recording guidelines

Dresses in proper uniform daily to represent the Spark'd brand!

Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to "pitch-in" and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player. Ability to use point of sale. Ability to lift/carry weight up to 50 pounds. Ability to push/and pull carts of products weighing up to 150 pounds.
