Job Description:

Under administrative direction, the Patient Access Supervisor oversees front-end revenue cycle functions including the scheduling of outpatient diagnostic services, ensuring accurate referrals and authorizations are in place prior to services being rendered and the collection of demographical, medical, and financial information crucial to patient care and maximum hospital reimbursement.# Ensures Patient Access teams maintain compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements including, but not limited to, CMS, the Joint Commission, EMTALA, and HIPAA.# Participates in the hiring, training, disciplinary issues, and performance appraisals of the staff. # Minimum Education and Experience: # # Minimum Preferred Education: High School graduate Associates degree in business or healthcare related field Experience: Three years# experience in Patient Access (or Billing) in an acute care facility Prior supervisor experience in Patient Access (or Billing) in an acute care facility.
