Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman is currently seeking an Contract Administrator level 3 or 4 for our Elkton, Maryland location.The Northrop Grumman Propulsion Systems and Controls (PS&C) facility in Elkton, Maryland began solid-propellant rocket operations in 1948. Today, the Elkton PS&C facility designs, develops, and produces solid-propellant propulsion and ordnance systems in programs professionally managed for a wide variety of Government and commercial customers. The facility also serves as the hub for offsite engineering and test facilities in Ronkonkoma, NY, Palm Beach Gardens, FL and San Jose, CA.Elkton, Maryland is located on the Upper Chesapeake Bay, midway between Philadelphia and Baltimore. You can hike, bike, camp, bird watch, ride horseback, or drop a fishing line. Five rivers, Chesapeake Bay and the C&D Canal can be explored by boat or by land. Job Summary:In this position, you will act as the primary interface with customers for contractual issues. You will interact and support the internal program teams on all contract related matters. You will facilitate internal review of contractual terms and conditions and negotiate those terms with the customer. The position also involves coordinating with the Law Department on new or unusual terms and/or agreements to ensure protection of company interests.Responsibilities:Lead a team in establishing negotiation strategies, negotiating new contracts, and identifying and negotiating contract changesRelease internal authorization to proceed, facilitate contract review of new awards and mods, support project set-up based on funding received, and coordinate and manage all contractual direction and communication with customersAdvise internal teams on markings requirements and assist in crafting appropriate agreements/terms to protect company intellectual propertyMonitor contract requirements and associated program funding and deliverables to ensure that contractual obligations are communicated, understood, and followedEnsure compliance with company procedures and government regulationsAdminister, negotiate, and perform closeout of contractsMaintain an open and healthy relationship with the customer#NGSkillsPut your skills to the test by pushing the boundaries of what's possible. Must have 10 or more years of contract administration or regulatory experience. Will also consider a Bachelor's degree or higher in business, legal or related discipline with 6 years or more of contract administration or regulatory experienceMust have or be able to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance (US Citizenship as a pre-requisite)Must be able to travel as needed (up to 10% of the time)Basic Qualifications for Sr. Principal Contracts Administrator (4):This position emphasized skills and experience. Must have 14 or more years of contract administration or regulatory experience. Will also consider a Bachelor's degree or higher in business, legal or related discipline with 10 years or more of contract administration or regulatory experienceMust have or be able to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance (US Citizenship as a pre-requisite)Must be able to travel as needed (up to 10% of the time)Preferred Qualifications:Active DoD Secret security clearanceExperience in managing complex government contractsGeneral understanding of business, accounting, and financial systemsDemonstrated experience in the preparation of proposalsKnowledge of government procurement regulations (FAR and DFARS)"Salary Range: 79800 - 119800Salary Range 2: 99000 - 148400Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
