For more information visit ILCDover.com and follow us on LinkedIn.Position Objective:The Supervisor, Planning is accountable for leading the optimization of general supply chain planning and production planning processes to meet and exceed customer requirements and business expectations. Success is measured through KPIs, improved materials management, and consistency in best practices.Essential Responsibilities:Assist in goal setting, monitoring and review process for site staff; champion the reduction and maintenance of site backlog and escalate detailed comments to management Prepare and distribute weekly Past Due Glidepath with detailed summary to leadership team Continuously drive improvement to processes and procedures in the planning departmentResponsible for alignment of production assets and resources for weekly and monthly production schedule Champion the Schedule Conformance process and assist team with assigning reason codes as needed Works with team planners/schedulers to ensure that assets are sufficiently supplied with raw materials and packaging prior to the handoff of the production schedule Serves as a backup for Finite Schedulers and Planners/Schedulers as needed Develops and implements programs to create, validate, and maintain system data necessary to fully utilize the MRP capabilities of Syteline/CSIActively participate in MRB and E&O process to assure timely disposition of blocked stock, assist in expediting/escalation of customer returns, and take action to alleviate future blocked stock Conduct weekly and monthly team meetings and escalate issues/concerns as needed Improve the responsiveness of the operation through managing lead times and collaborating with stakeholders to improve the supply chain Establishes and deploys best practices to ensure customer and business expectations are met for all product strategies (MTS, MTO, ETO, ITO)Partners with the Manager, Procurement to ensure raw materials are purchased in order to meet production schedules, while optimizing order quantities and lead times to improve service, cost, quality and cash objectives Develops training and/or mentoring programs to build the capabilities of the site staffWork closely with QC/QA and site planners to coordinate priorities *This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
