About the Role: The (QREG) Operating Unit within Core Technology is seeking a 3rd shift Cleanroom Custodian to support manufacturing of core technology materials used in Gore medical devices and PharmBio products. This associate will work as part of a small, regional team that's primary responsibility will be to perform the necessary cleaning activities across all of QREG cleanrooms within Cherry Hill and Elk Mills 1. Standard work hours are Sunday - Friday, 9:30PM to 6:00AM.

This role will be located in Elkton, Maryland.

Please note that evening, night and weekend shift positions are eligible for an additional $2/hour shift differential pay (in California, the shift differential pay is $2.40/hour).

Responsibilities:

• Clean and disinfect Class 100,000 cleanrooms and controlled environments, according to daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual cleaning schedules
• Vacuum, mop, and disinfect of floors, walls, ceilings, and windows
• Meticulous cleaning, hand-wiping, and disinfecting of frequently touched surfaces and tooling used to manufacture product
• Complete cleaning logs to provide documentation that tasks were finished
• Monitor and restocking of approved consumable supplies
• Some environmental monitoring responsibilities involving environmental sampling and vermin/pest control
• Coordinate outside cleaning vendors and contractors
• Will work overtime and be flexible with hours to help cover other shifts and cross training
  
  Required Qualifications:
  
  • Self-driven and ability to make independent and informed decisions
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to learn more advanced systems
  • Must be flexible enough to rotate work between different facilities (within 5 miles of one another), both within a day and from day to day
  • Must be willing to work the scheduled shift, along with different shifts occasionally to accommodate changing business needs
  • Must be willing to share ideas and information and receive the same from other associates
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow explicit, detailed instructions and procedures and possess a proven history of such
  • Ability to neatly record data and complete log sheets and documentation
  • Ability to use automated lift equipment and be comfortable performing overhead work approximately 15 ft. off the ground
  • Ability to operate automated floor cleaning machines
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment which includes wearing hairnet, frock, gloves, shoe covers and beard cover (where applicable), and no makeup
  • Ability to communicate clearly and be willing to share responsibilities and continuous improvement opportunities with others
    Desired Qualifications:
    
    • Experience in FDA regulated environments
