Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Sand and Gravel Plant Operator for our Newport facility located in Newport, NJ.

What You'll Get To Do

• Safety
  
  
• Perform a daily walk-around equipment inspection and fill out inspection form pre- and post-shift
  
  
• Observe all safety precautions and rules specified by federal, state, and company regulations
  
  
• Report unsafe conditions
  
  
• Report accidents or incidents immediately
  
  
  
  
• Operations
  
  
• Operate, maintain, and repair sand process plant equipment and associated mobile equipment
  
  
• Utilize equipment in a manner to maximize productivity and minimize wear and down time
  
  
• Work in all areas of the plant as needed
  
  
• Report/repair mechanical or maintenance issues with equipment
  
  
  
  
  
  What We Are Looking For
  
  
  
  
  
  • 
    
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
    
    
  • 1 -2 years general labor and maintenance experience preferred
    
    
  • Open pit mining operations and aggregate products experience preferred
    
    
  • Must be able to carry 50 pounds, MSHA-trained a plus
    
    
  • Equipment operation skills a plus
