Pay Rate: Competitive rate based on experience and qualificationsThis position includes offices in Downingtown and West Grove and training will be held in Reading, PA. Travel is required for this position.Are you a dental professional wanting to gain experience in Orthodontics?! Children's Dental Health, Orthodontics is seeking a passionate full-time professional who is willing to travel and be trained in orthodontics.Training Includes:Working/Training three days a week for 6-8 weeks, in our Reading, Spark Orthodontics office with veteran orthodontic professionalsWorking two days a week in your home offices, located in West Grove and Downingtown, PA.After training, you will work 4 days a week in the West Grove and Downingtown offices.Potential for 5 days a week, if you can travel to Springfield, PA.As an Orthodontic Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our patients feel comfortable and receive the best quality orthodontic care possible. In this position, you primarily will be responsible for performing clinical duties to ensure compassionate, effective, and efficient delivery of high-quality standard of care for patients. A successful Ortho Assistant exhibits an efficient, knowledgeable, and positive countenance for every patient experience.We want you to bring your passion, skills, and drive to help patients achieve beautiful smiles while creating "wow" experiences at every visit!Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:30 pmWhat You Will Do:Must be able to work in a kid friendly environmentChecks oral hygiene, providing oral hygiene instructionsKnows and understands the difference between each orthodontic chairside procedure, performs the procedures with the correct techniques and accuracy, and completes each procedure in the time allottedReviews all charts prior to bringing all patients into the back for treatmentProperly sterilizes instruments on a regular basisProperly prepares for each orthodontic procedureKnows how to operate and utilize the practice management softwareKnows and understands how to properly take patient photos and correctly imports them into Dolphin in a timely manner (facial and intra-oral photos)Completes impressions/scans as neededAssists doctor with cementation of bands and bracket placementRemoves and places wires, ties, power chains, etc.Properly takes the correct x-rays when needed on each patientFollows OSHA, Infection Control, and other standards for protection against blood borne pathogens.Prepares rooms/chairs for patient careRestocks supplies and tracks inventoryWhat You Will NeedWarm, friendly, courteous, and enjoys working with children.Punctual, responsible, and a fast learnerAbility to multitask is critical.What We OfferMedical/Dental/Vision InsurancePerformance Increases401(k) with employer matchGenerous paid time off (PTO) policyEight paid holidays (including Black Friday/Christmas Eve)Life InsuranceSTD/LTD InsuranceWho We AreChildren's Dental Health is the leading provider of pediatric dental medicine in the region.
