DescriptionAccountable for operating bakery-pastry machinery and its associated down-stream equipment. The will monitor and Bakery Machine Operator controls the continuous flow of product through the production process, from mixing ingredients to oven baking to product packaging. The Machine Operator will adjust control panel settings as needed. Collaborate with the team members, maintenance and supervisor to maintain a safe work environment and adhering to Crown Bakeries GMPs and established procedures.Responsibilities:Operate assigned machinery in a safe and efficient manner.Equipment may include Oven systems, Mixer & blender equipment, Frosting Coating machine, Bagging Machines, pan washing machines.Maintains and adjusts freezer-retard temperature and sets timer to required setting.Monitors the process to ensure continues bakery product process flow through conveyor systems.Will operate various PLC panels to control proper flow of product.Troubleshoots process and makes speed adjustments.Document weight, product yield, downtime and additional metrics.Collaborates with the in-line Product Laminator and Mixer to ensure continues product flow.Adjusts Ensuring product standards, specifications, and customer requirements are met.Food Safety Responsibilities:Follow all GMP's, Food Defense and quality policiesEnsures all GMP and all food hygiene and safety standards are in complianceReport all food safety incidents such as GMP violations, ingredient and product contamination, metal detector, screen or magnet deviancies', glass breakage, and pest harborage.

Qualifications:Must be flexible with schedule, including start times and weekend work.Willing to acquire a wide variety of skills to assist the surrounding team and fully understand the processes.Able to problem solve, learn on the fly, process and technical learning, and quality decision.Must be able to work in a team environment as well as work independently.Physical Requirements:Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.Reach above shoulder height.Able to bend, twist, stand, climb stairs/ladders, push/pull, and walk for the length of shift.Work Environment:Work in a noisy environment.Work in an enclosed indoors area.Work in wet and/or humid conditions.Work in cold or hot environments.
