About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Risk Analytics Consultant. Wells Fargo is seeking a Risk Analytics Consultant . The Credit Risk team is responsible for data aggregation, analysis and interpretation, and providing data to others for monitoring and oversight of the credit portfolio and delivering insights and decision strategies. Performs complex activities related to business analysis and/or modeling. May provide allowance, loan loss forecasting, data aggregation, monitoring and reporting of credit risk data, credit stress testing and portfolio analysis and/or modeling that maximizes profits and/or asset growth and minimizes credit and/or operating losses and other risk exposures. Provides analytical support on wholesale and/or retail credit, operating losses and other product strategies to ensure company goals are met. Segments and monitors various credit, deposit and other product groups, vintages, concentration limits, risk ratings, etc. and making recommendations to management based on those trends. Produce performance monitoring and benchmarks regarding growth, mix, delinquency, losses grade migration, and overall profitability and performance. Coordinates and consolidates the production of monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports for senior management; reviewing and analyzing trends in current population distributions and recommending strategies. May develop complex programming models to extract data and/or manipulate databases to provide statistical and financial modeling specific to business(es) supported. May manage the roll-out of pilot programs developed as a result of programmed models for supported business or product line. May be responsible for process production, data reconciliation and model documentation in alignment with policy governance. May manage large scale cross functional/cross business unit projects and regulatory responses. May partner with cross enterprise risk analysts in development of common modeling strategies. May provide work direction to lower level team members In this role, you will:

  • Participate in less complex analysis and modeling initiatives, and identify opportunity for process production, data reconciliation, and model documentation improvements within Risk Management
  • Review and analyze programing models to extract data, and manipulate databases to provide statistical and financial modeling, and exercise independent judgment to guide new and existing projects with medium risk deliverables
  • Coordinate and consolidate the production of monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports for more experienced management
  • Present recommendations for resolving data reconciliation, production, and database issues
  • Exercise independent judgment while developing expertise in policy governance, risk projects, and regulatory requests
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, managers, experienced managers, compliance, including various lines of business Required Qualifications, US:
    • 2+ years of Risk Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, educationDesired Qualifications:
      • Risk reporting experience
      • or 2+ years of experience in a risk role and a Master's degree or higher in a quantitative field such as statistics, economics, mathematics, operations research, engineering, or business
      • 2+ years of experience with SAS or SQL, or other data management, reporting and query tools
      • Knowledge and understanding of Tableau reports/dashboards version management on GitHub
      • Ability to advise end users on version control concepts/procedures and create clear, written guidelines for common scenarios
      • Ability to analyze business requirements and transform those requirements into business rules
      • Ability to assess issues, make quick decisions, implement solutions, and influence change
      • Ability to be proactive, innovative and creative in meeting customer and enterprise needs
      • Ability to capture and document complex business and functional requirements
      • Ability to clearly express ideas and proposed solutions
