Job Summary:To perform and assist with facility maintenance activities as assigned including but not limited to maintenance functions for buildings, equipment and grounds.Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure equipment and systems operate efficiently and safely
• Perform repairs, diagnostic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance assignments on a variety of warehouse and building equipment/systems
• Ensure operation of wrap machines, dock locks/levelers, Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) and batteries, etc.
• Manage fire alarm system response
• Handle corrective/preventative maintenance and routine tasks independently.
• Understand and comply with safety management, EPA and OSHA policies, procedures, and programs
• Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document preventative maintenance, repairs, and record keeping
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) policies and procedures
• Support sanitation by keeping areas clean and neat while working and at end of shift
• (If applicable and properly trained/certified,) Operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) as required by position or as assigned by function
• Other duties as assignedExperience and Qualifications:
  • Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to use basic hand tools
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Able to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Ability to accommodate flexible schedules to meet the needs of the customer to include nights, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to remain calm and focused while prioritizing requests from multiple sources
  • Basic knowledge of general construction, plumbing, electric, and hydraulic systems
  • Ability to utilize a multi-meter to troubleshoot electrical and controls circuits from 12V-120V.
    Preferred Background
    • Warehouse experience
    • Journeyman accreditation as an Industrial Maintenance / Millwrights, Multi-Craft Mechanic, Instrumentation, Electronic Systems Technician, HVAC or other comparable trades OR 10+ years of practical experience, related college coursework, continuing technical education or comparable experience related to the maintenance, repair and operation of commercial, industrial or logistics facilities, systems and equipment.
    • Ability to troubleshoot controls circuits and wiring from 12V to 480VEnvironmental Job Conditions:
      • Independently lift up to 100 lbs occasionally
      • Must be able to respond and perform physical demands of weather emergencies
      • Must be able to tolerate and work in confined space(s) (excludes Permit Required Confined Spaces)
      • Able to sit, stand, walk, bend, squat, step up/down, grasp, reach, push or pull on a frequent basis in a refrigerated warehouse environment
      • Good hand-eye coordination and depth perception to operate material handling and battery changing equipment safely and accurately
      • Ability to ascend/decend several flights of stairs,climb fixed ladders and transition on/off a fixed ladder at a roof hatch
      • Ability to work at elevated heights while wearing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for the job (such as fall protection harnesses)
      • Able to adjust to fluctuating temperatures and withstand freezing temperatures as low as -20 degrees Fahrenheit
      • Ability to work in a noisy warehouse environment
      • Able to work while wearing appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for the job (such as steel-toed protective footwear, harness, safety glasses, hard hat, gloves, insulated clothing, etc)
      • Ability to handle and physically be near products which may contain food allergens (such as fish, shellfish, peanuts, etc.)
